Camp Facilities Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Camp Facilities Manager position is responsible for managing and maintaining all aspects of the Camp Ramsbottom (“Camp”) property and facilities, with the oversight of the Director of Facilities and the assistance of the Director of Camp & Recreation, resulting in a safe, clean, high-quality environment conducive to youth development and community engagement. This position is responsible for the maintenance and general upkeep of the Camp buildings, grounds, equipment, and other facilities year round and ensuring compliance with federal, state and local safety laws, ordinances and regulations. This position will also assist the Director of Camp & Recreation, in the planning and implementation of Camp rentals and special events.

Each of the responsibilities listed below is designed to further the organization’s mission of preparing youth for success by inspiring and enabling young people from Pawtucket and surrounding communities, especially those with greatest need, to realize their full potential as healthy, productive, responsible, and caring citizens.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all Camp facilities, buildings, grounds, pool and program/safety equipment meet state/local/federal codes and licensing requirements, including American Camp Association accreditation standards.
  • Perform and oversee general landscaping and maintenance duties and repairs, including for pool, to ensure the grounds are clean, clear of debris, and in safe condition.
  • Safely operate and store necessary power equipment, tools, and chemicals used to maintain Camp grounds and facilities.
  • Manage the scheduling of personnel/vendors required to maintain the Camp facilities, including, but not limited to: landscaping companies (mowing & brush, weed control, snow removal), restroom facilities, plumbers, pool service technicians, waste management, electricians, and additional contractors as needed.
  • Responsible for managing all duties pertaining to the opening and closing of the 8-week summer Camp season, and support summer Camp programs as necessary.
  • Manages financial decisions responsibly while adhering to the established budget guidelines
  • Demonstrates vision and creativity in adapting and innovating facility spaces to support evolving programs and community needs
  • Manage and lead a team of part-time and seasonal staff as needed and/or on project basis.
  • Assist with the planning, preparation, implementation and staffing of rentals and special events.
  • Assists, as needed, with facility needs at the Alfred Elson Jr. Clubhouse location
  • Other duties as assigned at Camp Ramsbottom & the Alfred Elson Jr. Clubhouse

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • The successful candidate must have at least 3 years of facilities management experience, and safety policy and procedures experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associates’ Degree or higher preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of facility/grounds upkeep and maintenance best practices
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience with preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to safety practices, including up-to-date emergency management.
  • Certified Pool Operator (CPO) Certification preferred;
  • Strong written and oral communications; and
  • Ability and experience working productively and proactively both independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-Time, Salaried, Exempt

Pay: $55k-$65k

Camp Ramsbottom Healthcare Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Camp Ramsbottom Health Care Supervisor (Seasonal Position) is responsible for managing all aspects of the Camp healthcare office or issues relating to the healthcare of members and staff. The Health Care Supervisor is the point of contact for all health and medical needs when on duty. The person in this position will provide routine and emergency care to campers and staff, and complete necessary paperwork associated with each instance. Camp Ramsbottom is an eight (8) week program in Rehoboth, Mass., which serves up to 800 youth each day, Monday-Friday. The season begins on June 22, 2026 and runs through August 14, 2026. Pay rate is $25-$27/hr.

  • Certification as RN, LPN, EMT, or CNA required; Experience administering First Aid to youth required
  • Must pass a background check before beginning.
  • Assist with the pre-camp set-up and the post-camp closing of the First Aid Office, which includes performing an opening/closing inventory of all supplies and equipment and ordering supplies/equipment as needed and approved.
  • Assist with pre-camp review of camper health forms; contact families as needed.
  • Conduct initial health screening of all campers and staff; assess and assist with the health and hygiene needs of campers.
  • Administer medication and treatment to campers as needed.
  • Provide for proper intervention regarding camper and/or staff illness, injury, condition, or emergency care and makes appropriate referrals and provides for follow up care as warranted.
  • Responsible for training and mentoring Health Care Assistant.
  • Identify pertinent Camper medical needs and ensure that this information is communicated with the appropriate Camp staff.
  • Keep records regarding administration of medication, prescribed treatments, and other health and medical needs. Follow state and ACA standards in maintaining such records.
  • Familiar with the health protocols and standing orders approved by designated Health Care Consultant and follows protocols with campers and staff.

Supervisor: Director of Camp & Recreation, with medical oversight by the Health Care Consultant.
