Every December, the Boys & Girls Club of Pawtucket spreads holiday cheer by providing our families with wish-list items during the festive season. For many in our Club community, affording basic household necessities continues to be a challenge – a challenge that is magnified again this year due to increased cost of living and trying to make ends meet.
Since its inception, our Adopt-a-Family Program has grown each year with 2023 marking the most families our Club has supported. Over 100 generous donors directly supported 67 families with gifts and grocery gift cards. In addition, three local businesses – 212 Health and Performance, Collette and three local Planet Fitness locations generously provided hundreds of daily Club members with a holiday gift through their Giving Tree Programs. In the last four years alone, we have grown this program by well over 250% which made a lasting impact for our families!
YOU can make a direct impact this season for a local family in need. With your support, you can help us put presents under trees, fill closets with winter clothing, and put groceries on kitchen tables
making this December brighter for so many. All contributions, big or small, will play a role in creating holiday magic for our members.

“Having our family adopted this holiday season has meant so much to us. We have had a very rough year and it has been pretty hard to stay hopeful. I was worried I wasn’t going to be able to make ends meet for Christmas, as my work situation changed. Thank you so much for giving us that boost of hope we needed in a really hard time. Even though we ended up all getting sick on Christmas, my boys said ‘This was the best Christmas ever’ and as a mom, that was all I wanted for Christmas. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
